She gave me Her diary to read....
In it was her first love experience written in details.... Well with what I can see... She's a good writer.... She's a good and loyal Lady, and all she needs is a guy to handle her with soft hands not
a Rough Rider.... To conquer your first heart break
You must have fought hard like
A Street Fighter
And I pray her next lover
Wouldn't fright her.... A prayer to whom it may concern

A PRAYER FOR HER

FEAR. -Dupe Olomola
"Words set free" they say
But what happens,
when you're not allowed to speak
What happens?
He had a full head
Heavy brain with a ready mouth
He was willing to speak
He was ready
Words of liberty
Words of freedom
Words of peace
Words that heal
But he couldn't speak
He couldn't let the words out
And like a stranger trapped in a foreign land,
The words were trapped in him
It wouldn't let him speak
With mighty shackles,
It held him back
It made him dumb
He cried to be set free
He wailed for freedom
But like a little helpless girl,
He had no strength
Who will set him free?
Who will let those words out of him?
The words the world is waiting for?
Who will deliver him from it?
No one could
No one could set him free from fear
The mighty chains of fear, that held him
No one could, no one but his very own self

DIARY OF A NIGERIAN GIRL _Mo' - Episode 3
Past few days been so busy, barely had time for me....
I'm grateful for these few minutes I have in bed to write before I'm up and about for the day again...
Thank God for my beautiful mom who makes sure we "mark" each birthday..
I didn't say celebrate, I said "mark". My mom has this chain and I don't know if it's only peculiar to my family .. The chain goes like this → you only celebrate your 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th ... Complete d sequence... And so on birthdays..
But birthdays like 6th, 7th, 11th and d rest, she doesn't elaborately celebrate, she "marks".
"Marks" means buying biscuits, cookies, chocolates and drinks but no cake and taking them to school to share with your teachers, friends and classmates.
This has been the family tradition but my sister and I when we were little, promised to celebrate our birthdays EVERY YEAR when we are big and have "OUR OWN MONEY" Lol? I know right.
One time on my birthday, everyone woke up early to wish me a happy birthday but he wasn't around, he had gone for his early morning jog when he got back, he didn't as much as look twice at me after he answered my greetings.
Until my mom said "Today is Dupe's birthday" then he said "which Dupe" and we all looked at him.
Then he finally remembered and said "Oh! Happy birthday my star" blah blah blah
I was sad, devastated and totally unhappy until my mom explained to me that he's not good with dates, it's not like doesn't care or is indifferent, he's just not a "birthday person"
She said he hardly remembered hers even when they were courting
He doesn't even remember his until you remind him, we'll be like "Happy birthday daddy" and he'll go "Oh Today's my birthday wow, thank you very much"
(Organizing a surprise birthday party for him will be very easy)
The only reason he remembers sometimes (and that's once in like 5 years) is because its the same date with his wedding anniversary so its too significant not to be remembered once in a while.
Its not like he doesn't care or doesn't have a good memory, he's just not a "birthday guy"
I'm just here, not psyched like I used to be in the past
I'm grateful for life and the many things I've achieved this past year, but I'm just not excited about this year's birthday .. If I were to have a cake, I doubt if I would even have the enthusiasm and strength to blow out the candles. Yes, it's that bad.
I now understand my daddy's plight.
Well, I concluded yesterday that I would be a great mom, my kids will have awesome birthdays while they're still excited about birthdays before they get to this weird "maturity" that kills every excitement you had as a child.
Ok bye, I need to go and take my bath and get prepared for school ⌚.
❤❤
Made a new hair , I'll share in my next post, see you next Tuesday or on Sunday (My birthday)

SOUL INTERCOURSE
I hope you enjoy it, feel free to leave comments and corrections
Dupe Sarah -Mo'-
To My soul friend . . . π«π
Before fate brought you my way,
I was lonely, not alone but lonely,
There were so many people around me
But no one with me
I lived in my own little world
Praying that one day, I'd find someone like me
I walked through people
But none walked through me
I held on to my crazy thoughts
Like a child clings to it's mother
The stars were my friends at night
During the day, I had no friends
I had made discoveries
But had no one to share them with
Everyone thought I was crazy
"She'll die lonely" they said
Then you came my way...
The male version of me
Bursting out of nowhere,
Walking directly towards me
Looking through me
I wanted to run
I wanted to hide
The only things I've learned
And mastered so well
But you came for me
You held my arm
You looked into me
You squeezed my hands
You were exactly like me
Only that the creator, benevolently added boldness to you
You understood my pains,
My strengths, my weaknesses
Your eyes promised so much
To be my friend
To share my thoughts
To hold my hands
Your eyes said it all
You'd be there for me
You'd never leave me
We'll walk through life together
We spoke very little
But our souls were in constant communication
Our souls were aligned
Our souls merged
Then I knew who you were
My soul's twin
My dream come true
My best friend
Your soul's twin π«

Dear future son
Long before you came, I prepared for you.
Countless nights I stayed up praying for you, before I met you or even your father. 💑💏👪
Made a promise to give you the best dad in the world, the best role model you can have.👬
Made a promise to give you a great life, and at least one sibling.👫
Made a promise to let you follow your dreams and not coerce you into living mine.
Made a promise to introduce you to God even from the womb.
Made a promise to impart the knowledge of God into you.
All these, I have done and more.
Now dear child, these few things I ask of you....
Love God and acknowledge him.
Respect your sister(s), only then will you respect ladies outside.
Never take a woman for granted, think of the pains of your mother at childbirth.
You have a good heart, I can feel it but evil communication corrupts good manner, keep a small circle.
Not everyone is a friend.
Your destiny is in your hands, your decisions today, will form your tomorrow. Be wise.
You are a prince, always remember that. And one day, my child, you'll be a king. How you'll rule your kingdom is determined by your behavior now.
When you're down and can't speak to anyone, even I, go to God, he's ever there. He's watching over you, and always ready to listen to you. Take your problems to him.
You'll be surprised at the peace that comes during and after prayers.
I pray that God guides and strengthens you.
I pray for wisdom beyond your peers and at the right time, I pray that God directs you to Her. Your help meet, your woman, your friend, your partner that'll continue from wherever I stop.
God bless you my child. 🙏
-Your Mom and Friend👫

Dear sisters,
Put God first and everything will fall into place.
Pulling someone down won't lift you up, it only means you're down yourself. Strong women don't cast down, they build up.
Confident ladies don't Compete, they compliment. Don't compete with them, learn from them.
You are more beautiful, stronger and more powerful than you know and you can do this. πͺ
You are a princess ♕
You're amazing just the way you are. Love your body and find what out what works for you.
You are allowed to cry, but not for long. Hand yourself the tissue, pick yourself up and keep moving. That, my darling, is what a strong woman does.
You'll come out of this, stronger.
Accept your flaws and love them. They're a part of you. Without them, you won't be you.
Your daughter is looking up to you.
Not everyone deserves a chance in your life. Remember, "many are mad but few are roaming". Don't let anyone mess you up.
Finally dear sister, I love you.
Let your inner queen shine.
Build your QUEENDOM

DIARY OF A NIGERIAN GIRL_Mo' - Episode 2
Dear Diary,
The struggle (Morning Devotion) : Waking up very early in the morning is something I'm sure not everybody likes. In my own case, waking up for morning devotion, at 5:00am or 6:00am when my sleep is the sweetest. It is at times like this that I envy sango worshippers (Lord have mercy on your daughterπ)
At least sango worshippers don't have to wake up 5/6:00am to start singing.
Don't get me wrong, I love God, very much and I love praying but waking up for morning devotion is usually hard and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Especially because my dad is a pastor, true Nigerian pastors' children can relate, and can attest to the fact that as a preachers kid, you get to read your bible everyday, whether you like it or not. We love reading our bible but we don't like waking up early.
Back to my morning devotion or morning altar as some people call it.
They wake me up mercilessly from my sweet sleep which is difficult because I love my bed.
There was even a time when my dad bought a bell, he rung that bell once and everyone magically appeared in the sitting room for morning devotion because that bell was so loud it was like my dad was preparing us for judgment day so that no matter how deep we are asleep, we'll hear when the trumpet of the Lord sounds. But the bell didn't work for long because my mummy protested that it gave her headache so my dad did away with it (Thank God).
Now, bell or no bell, we still have to wake up for morning devotion...
DIARY OF A NIGERIAN GIRL_Mo' - Episode 1
Dear readers, One thing I learnt as a young Nigerian girl in secondary school was: -"There is food at home".
This is one key that'll help you in life as a Nigerian.
Especially considering the fact that I wasn't one of the very "rich" kids.
I fall under the category of the comfortable ones, the middle class, I dare say.
The ones whose parent provided everything they NEED not WANT.
I never had to suffer for money to get the new text book or pay money for group assignments, my parents made sure I had those.
But what happens when I want that "extra"?
We all want "extra" once in a while so don't judge me.
Like that new top I saw yesterday that'll go well with my jean and I badly want even though I have countless tops at home or that new snack that cost way more than my allowance but I want to buy and still buy a drink to go down with it (Forgetting my mummy's saying "THERE IS FOOD AT HOME")
It always ended up in argument between my mom and I.
Of course, almost every Nigerian will agree with me that we only argue about things like that, with our moms try that with my dad and you're toast, I mean literally, you are TOAST.
So my mom and I would argue about money for the top. She'd bring up relevant points about how extravagant I am, and how prudent I'm not but all that grammar won't matter to me, all I wanted was money for my top .
